St. James promotes the development of the whole child through our interscholastic sports programs. Four sports are offered to boys and girls in grades 5 though 8:
St. James athletics has a ‘no cut’ policy, so all students are encouraged to play! We are proud members of the DuPage Parochial League for volleyball and basketball and Suburban Parochial League for cross country and track & field. To provide an athletic program with an emphasis on Catholic values and good sportsmanship. To govern healthy competition between teams and among students. We believe that athletics is an integral part of the total education provided by St. James the Apostle where young men and women are taught lifetime skills – doing one’s best, teamwork, and leadership. We strive to develop student athletes’ bodies, minds, and spirituality in an effort to create strong, contributing members of society and the parish community.
